In Surah An-Nisa (4:135), it is stated, "O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for justice, wit- nesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives.

" This verse encourages believers to uphold justice even if it goes against their personal interests, emphasising the universal nature of justice. The Bible echoes a similar sentiment. In the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna imparts the timeless wisdom. These teachings encapsulate the essence of compassion as a virtue that extends beyond mere empathy to encompass understanding and genuine care for all living beings.

The ongoing global refugee crisis provides a poignant example of the urgent need for justice and compassion.
